Nope, Intel didn't provide one for Vista, so I guess there's none for Win 7.
I had to buy a new webcam a couple of years ago.

thanks for the confirmation.

i want to leave the answer on how i half solved the problem. and leave here my next question.
i installed the webcam in my virtual machine where i have windows xp. since it does not recognize my headset i use the webcam in messenger in the virtual xp and then talk through skype in the w7. it works just fine. so here is the question:

why does my virtual machine does not recognize my headset nor my speakers?

many thanks.

I was able to get my CS431 to work on Windows 7 using the XP drivers. When you try to install the XP drivers it will fail but will create a directory (probably C:/temp/cs431_XP/). I went into my Device Manager, double-clicked on the "Unknown Device" and then installed the driver manually. I selected "Browse my Computer..." then "Let me pick from a list..." then "Have Disk..." and then pointed it to the C:/temp/cs431_XP/ folder. My microphone doesn't seem to be working but the video does! I don't care about the mic so I didn't mess with it any further.
