Intel HD Graphics primary surface test failed (Error code: WVC07-L1M)

Hi everyone, I'd appreciate your help. :cry:
I have a Dell N7110 laptop and a few days I ran PC doctor on it and the Intel(R) HD Graphics Family (3000) failed the primary surface test but passed the video memory test.
In addition to this, a few days earlier I got a screen blackout (for a few seconds) with a message saying "Display driver has stopped working and has recovered successfully" and a BSOD once.
Today I did a clean install of Windows 7 x64, added all the drivers and ran a PC Doctor test again. And The Intel passed the Primary Surface Test. I ran the test multiple times, Quick Test, Default Test, Full Test, Stress Test, it passed them all. It seems there are no problems.

I need to mention that when the test failed I had older versions of the video & chipset driver. I will past the old & new dxdiag portion about the Intel video card down bellow.

Should I be concerned, was it a just false positive or a bad driver? Or my video card is failing and it only passes the test for now ?

The failure could be from the PC Doctor itself, not the driver that is installed because there have been a reports of FireGL 5250 and other GPUs failing the test on the latest version of PC Doctor.

Thank you for the reply RoasterMan. Yeah, that would be a possibility, but how about the screen blackout and the message saying "Display driver has stopped working and has recovered successfully" ? Could it be because of the driver was not updated or working properly ?

Doing some further research on Google, I stumbled upon an answer from a PC Doctor rep to a person with a similar problem:
"I am sorry to hear that one of our tests is failing on your computer. The first thing I would suggest is to make sure that your video drivers are up-to-date since that can report incorrect information to our software (It's a good idea to check using the latest version from Dell and also from the video card manufacturer), possibly causing it to report an error. I would also suggest performing a memory stress test to rule out the possibility of bad system memory affecting the results.

If a driver update doesn't resolve the issue and you don't have any memory errors, then it is likely that there is an actual problem with your video card."


So, could it have been a false positive caused by a driver problem?

Users do sometimes recommend uninstalling Bloatwares (AKA crappy softwares bundled with a laptop and OEM Desktops) because a PC will run perfectly good at the first 2 weeks and the performance will start to degrade after 2 weeks.

Yeah, I'd get rid of that software as well. Also, use your service tag number on Dell's website and look for the newest Video driver for your specific system. I'd install that and then run Windows Experience Index assessment. WEI tests many things and can sometimes point out a faulty graphics driver with the on board Intel graphics. I know from experience that my HD 4000 graphics would fail the WEI test with some newer Intel drivers. It's true that it's sometimes beneficial to keep drivers updated and current, but it can also cause problems as well.
