Intel q6600 SERIOUSLY NEED HELP with overclock!

I have q6600 quad and i have a stock cooler,but i dont know a thing about OC all i know about is FSB and multiplyers(if am not wrong)so i someone can help me with it(if you have time)because i am going to buy a HD5850 so it needs all of my cpu and more...so if someone can post pictures of their overclock of the same model with stock cooler...no need to OC it to the limits just a little bit...to get in this OC bussines...and a little tutorial link could be helpfull

I wouldn't recommend overclocking if you don't know what you are doing . But, first off get yourself a decent aftermarket cooler, stock cooling just won't cut it. Secondly, your cpu is independant from your graphics card, yes a fast cpu will help on some tasks but you don't need a uber fast cpu just because you have a uber graphics card. I am no expert on overclocking though.

ok,thx... i know all that what you told me but with some good tutorial i might learn about it,and i will buy cooler with new ati GC.i will wait and see if someone is willing to help me

I would imagine there are expert overclockers on this forum, I am not one of them, just telling you what I know

you definatly need to read to find out not just how to do it but what you are actually doing when you start to play with the specific settings needed to overclock
