intel rapid storage technology not running

When my Windows load, the IRST icon at the bottom right would say that IRST is not running. I had to double click on the icon for it to load. Is this normal? I just installed a SSD last night and did a fresh install with IRST. I am using the latest official IRST drivers.

Its a delayed start.

It starts on its own after 3 minutes of uptime if I remember correctly.
