Hello.

Weird issue - the system clock, which I set myself when I have purchased and set-up the laptop recently, displays time / date correctly on the task bar (lower right). However many applications see it differently. Here are two main culprits:

the e-mail client (thunderbird) displays ALL messages approximately 4 hours prior to the actual time received

altcoin wallets, when I install them for the first time ALL say (I have like a dozen of them now) - "warning: please check that your computer's date / time are correct. If your clock is wrong, your XXXXcoin wallet will not function correctly."

So it appears that at least to the applications, the system clock is NOT set-up correctly, even though it is displayed correctly on the task bar.

Anyone have any ideas?

Very much appreciate any assistance in advance.

Hi pqmomba8, welcome to Windows Seven Forums.

Have you set your actual location correctly on your computer. Left click on the clock in the Task Bar & select Change Date & Time Settings, then select Change Time Zone click on the little down arrow & find your correct time zone.

Worked like a charm - can't believe I didn't think of that. Many thanks!
