Intermittent BSOD (MiniDump) PLEASE HELP!

Interesting and your dump shows that it is loaded onto your system. If you cannot find it in C:\Windows\System32\driver, do a search of your C: drive for it.

Sorry..how do I do that?
I have always used the search function under the start menu on Win 7 to find files. Is there another way?

Would a hard drive reformat and clean OS install keep afc.sys off the system?

Here is some more info....
I have an external drive by Simple Tech
They use a back up software called ArcSoft Total Media Backup software.
The afc.sys seems to be in conjunction with this. I have long since removed this from my system, but perhaps there is a remnant.

I tried reinstalling Arcsoft Total Backup and still can't find the afc.sys.

I am sure that the ArcSoft backup is the source of that driver. Download Revo uninstaller and uninstall the ArcSoft backup utility with Revo. Revo is more thorough than the built in Win 7 removal program. To search for the driver, open Windows Explore by right clicking on it and select Run as administrator. Do your search of C: in Windows Explorer. But according to the files yo have uploaded it is located here:
C:\Windows\System32\drivers\afc.sys

Used Revo uninstaller to get rid of Arcsoft Total Backup.
No blue screens since, but I am still keeping my fingers crossed. So far so good!

Thanks for all of your help, will report back if any more crashes.
