For the last week been having problems with intermittent internet connection on all my PC and laptops. I thought it was my router so I switched it out with a new one and the problem persisted. After re-connecting my old router, I was able to get online. Then 2 days later I was unable to get on the internet, so I switched my cable modem with a new one and the connection problem continued. I reconnected my old modem and was able to get an internet connection. Am wary the problem wil re-occur and cannot figure what the root of the problem is. Anyone venture to guess?

Does it affect both wired and wireless connections. If it's only wireless sometimes a cordless phone or whatever else is transmitting on the 2.4ghz can cause interferences

Thanks for your reply..yes it effects both connections, and its not interference related.
I have even switched out cables and that wasn't the problem. A frustrating mystery!

Did you try to contact your ISP and see if they were having any "technical difficulties" as they like to call it when they can't provide the service they promised. Sometimes I get the same here and, so far at least, it's always been the ISP having those "technical difficulties" as it makes no sense all your computers and laptops have all developed the same problem at the same time

im kinda with Shim on this one. I would contact your isp and see what they have to say about it. If they cant do anything; I would try removing your network adapters via the control panel; rebooting; and then reinstall them; then reboot again and see if that solves the issue(s). I would also go into your router and or modem configuration page(s) and see whats connected and whats not.
