I had this same problem with Vista.
I have a Compaq V3018CL, and I have downloaded all the drivers from the Compaq website, but the Microphone only works in XP.
It's a Conexant High Definition Smart Audio H2 sound card.
Does anyone have a solution to this problem?
I called Compaq and they told me some ridiculous cost to talk to them, because my warranty ended on Oct 15 08
