i have thought of doing this, when i got it i had no restore points at all on the computer, it does have a cd/dvd/bluray burner (not so sure it burns blurays but never tried either but not the point) if i made a restore disk would that restore it back to like new factory condition as for software? there is really nothing on here that i have to have that i can't just get off my desk top or external or just find online again.. rocket docks are free :D

It will restore it back to when the original Owner turned it on - Includes all software that was on there when the owner turned it on

Please follow Bills advice first though

Have you tried uninstalling the network adapter in device manager, then rebooting and letting windows detect it?

Other than this, i'm out of ideas.

yes i have, ive tried uninstalling it and letting it find it and ive uninstalled it and rebooted.. same outcome :( well thank you guys, you have taught me much! i guess im just going to make a system restore disk and rock on from there. i was wanting to restore it to factory when i got it but thought that if made a restore disk it would just restore it to the current condition but obviously i was wrong. ill give it a wack.. just one question.. do this to a DVD or a CD? im going to guess a DVD??
