Hi,
I got a very strange Problem. After a complete new install of my System is access to the Internet only for Browsers available, not for other Applications for Updates.

Any Idea?

Did you install F-Secure Internet Security?
Does it update?

Just for fun - uninstall F-Secure Internet Security and see if that solves the "other software will not update" issue.

Even if you stop F-Secure, the file filters are still in place - they just don't act on the things that they find. The true test is to uninstall F-Secure. If apps still fail to update after uninstalling F-Secure, then you can re-install it.

If you start in the Safe Mode with Networking, there might be an app that you can test to see if it will update, but probably not.

You mentioned that browsers work - which browsers have you tried?

Even if IE works, you might try a total reset of IE:

Be sure to reset personal settings too.
This should reset any proxy settings that might have gotten in there.

What app are you using for a firewall?

Name a common app that is not updating.

I use Windows Firewall and change some entries for Outbound Http/Https/TCP-IP/IP but i doesnot change anything.
Im certain that F-Secure is not the Problem. The first program I installed was F-Secure, then I installed all other programs.
