Hello! I've recently updated my windows 7 but then suddenly the internet doesnt connect any more :( the page comes up with this:

Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage

What you can try:
Diagnose Connection Problems

More information

This problem can be caused by a variety of issues, including:

•Internet connectivity has been lost.
•The website is temporarily unavailable.
•The Domain Name Server (DNS) is not reachable.
•The Domain Name Server (DNS) does not have a listing for the website's domain.
•There might be a typing error in the address.
•If this is an HTTPS (secure) address, click Tools, click Internet Options, click Advanced, and check to be sure the SSL and TLS protocols are enabled under the security section.

For offline users

You can still view subscribed feeds and some recently viewed webpages.
To view subscribed feeds

1.Click the Favorites Center button , click Feeds, and then click the feed you want to view.

Have you tried your Compatibility View options? I would start with the Compatibility link at the top of the browser page, and if that doesn't help, go into the Compatibility View settings in Tools, and set that particular url (website) as one to permanently allow.

It is also possible that your Windows update corrupted while being downloaded. there are a number of help sites that Microsoft offers to see if the problem(s) can be resolved:

Windows 7 – Technical Problems and Troubleshooting
Windows Support Center – Windows 7 ‘Fix It’ – solutions + support from Microsoft
Windows 7 Compatibility: Software Programs & Hardware Devices: Find Updates, Drivers, & Downloads
How to Repair Windows 7 System Files with SFC/SCANNOW System File Checker

As a last resort, if it isn't a HUGE deal, you might try UNinstalling your Windows 7 update and then reinstalling it.
