Hey guys,

I've bumped into quite an unusual problem.
I've noticed yesterday evening that the internet connection on my desktop PC is becoming progressively lagging.

All I need is to restart my PC and it gets back to normal, for a short while at least.
It does not seem to be a network problem, since when I'm connected via the laptop, even at the same time as the desktop is lagging there is no change in speed.

I connect my desktop to the WiFi via a D-LINK WUA-2340 USB.
I am using Windows 7 Professional on an Inter Core i5 2.67Ghz, 4GB RAM and a Gigabyte P55-UD4P motherboard.
I have been using the same hardware configuration on the network for quite some time now with no problems.

A couple of days back I flashed my BIOS and updated the drivers for the Gigabyte P55-UD4P. I do not know if these changes are interrelated.

Insight would be highly appreciated!

Microsoft has offered several suggestions. Maybe, one will apply to you. Hopefully, you find a way to solve your problem

Why is my Internet connection so slow?

The first thing I would check is the AntiVirus software that you use.
Check for any malware or Virus
