internet connection sharing

hi, i have a problem with my internet sharing, i have my windows 7 laptop connecte to modem(not wirelessly), and i set up an ad hoc network so that i can share internet on the other windows Vista laptop. The ad hoc network is connected, but the internet sharing is not enabled i tried checking the "allow other network users to connect through this computers internet connection." but no luck and im even confused what should i choose as the private network connection below the option.
Also when start adhoc network wizard, after entering the name and network key and next, there is no option that says "turn on internet connection sharing" i dont know why??
please i need help, im tired of trying..

Have you tried setting up a 'work group' with sharing enabled between the two computers?
