Hello, i got a pc and a laptop.

i can share my files using LAN connection. copy paste etc etc.

My PC is connected to internet using an USB wimax Modem.

i want to connect my laptop to through my pc. is that possible? :D :D

Well, i have to have a router for this process. but i am looking for a process which doesnt need a router.

my pc is connected to the internet using USB WIMAX
my laptop is connected with my pc using RJ45 LAN connection.
i can share files between these two.
but i cant share internet @ my laptop through my pc.. is there any way wihthout router?

Don't let the pictogram throw you. In that diagram they are using a "Wired Hub", not a router, to connect more than one other computer to the ICS on the main computer.

If you are going to connect just one other computer to the main computer via ICS you can do this directly using a "Crossover Cable".

The wired hub eliminates the need to have a crossover cable in an ICS setup. You can not use a normal Ethernet cable for this. You can make your own crossover cables, or buy them pre-made, or use a hub.

Also note that you will need 2 NICs (Network Interface Cards, or LAN connections) to do ICS.

This is probably not the best video I could find, but it will give you the general gist of what you are going to do:

there is an option available on LAN properties.

SHARE Tab
>|allow other networks users to connect to the internet connect through this interment connection.


it was a 3 feet cat6 cable used 2 RJ45 Connectors. :) and it worked nicely :)
