internet connects late..!!

hi, i'm using windows 7 32-bit as OS in my compaq sg3540il pc.......my problem is when i switch on the modem, the internet doesnt connect as soon as i get the link in my modem......everythin is correct,ip address and all........But my pc connects approx after 15-20 min...I'm very much irritated by this problem..Every time it happens like this and i need switch it on before 20 min when i want to use it........can anyone pls help me to come out of this problem, i'll be very thankfull to you...!! or is it problem regarding to mother board, my mother board is boston-GL6??? pls help me...!

Just curious but why are you shutting it off? It may take that long for the modem to get DHCP/DNS from the ISP.


What modem, ISP, rouoter, etc?

hi ken, thanks for ur reply.......actually i'm havin an laptop and when i connect it thru wi-fi, i will get connected jus when modem gets on.......but i dono y its happenin lik this in my desktop.....
modem type is wa3002g4 and ISP-Broadband...
