I have internet, but after a bit my browser, nor anything else, will connect to internet, even though it shows an active connection. If i restart my pc, it fixes the issue till next time. I did run it in safe mode all day today, and had no problems at all. I get default gateway error and DNS error when i use IE to try and fix, but all browsers and everything else dont work. Everything was working great...

You will want to disable those Microsoft virtual adapters in Device Manager as they cause wireless connection problems quite frequently.

The other problem appears to be too many tunnel adaptors. Save the file below, unzip and run the file, this will get rid of all the extra tunnel adaptors which also cause disconnection problems. After that you might want to think about updating the driver for this connection. :)

flush.bat didnt work. I have disabled Microsoft Virtual adaptors. The 6to4 remover will not run, it say not for this machine. I have 64 and i ran the 64 version. Since my intenet dosnt drop in safe mode, could there be a program causing this? I did reinstall my printer and its a wireless printer...just a thought...pretty annoying especially since i work from home and im on my pc all day!

If the network works in safe mode it usually means there is a program or service that is keeping the network from connecting. Do you have AVG or iTunes installed on this system?

If the 6 to 4 remover won't run then try going into Device Manager then to Network adaptors and manually uninstall all the 6 to 4 adaptors you see there, rebooting will install new ones for you.

When there are so many of those adaptors it usually means that the network driver needs to be updated.

i have the most current driver for Intel(R) Centrino(R) Advanced-N 6250 AGN. Also, there are no 6to4 in device manager, network adaptors....

I dont have AVG, I have Bitdefender, and I do have Itunes.

I just checked, and I only have 2 tunnel adaptors running now... internet is currently working...for now

Probably it was the Microsoft virtual adaptors causing problems though the extra 6 to4 can also cause problems so it's good you removed them also.

As for the iTunes, it installs a service called Bonjour service which can also cause connection problems. You will see it there in Windows services and it should be disabled to prevent it from causing problems. Your iTunes will work fine without it.

It also looks like you typed in a couple of DNS servers into your IPv4 properties window but it appears that you also have a DSN server set up in your routers set up page. It may help to remove the ones at IPv4 and use the router for setting up the DNS servers instead.

I did add DNS to router...I used namebench to find the best ones, my pc is set to automatically do it... will that cause problems?

I would remove all the DNS entries from IPv4 properties and let the router handle the DNS.

When you have it right you should only see the routers default gateway address for DNS servers in the ipconfig.

If you are still seeing connection drops then you may want to try using a different channel for the wireless connection. Xirrus wifi inspector is good for seeing which channels are in use in your area. Wi-Fi Inspector | Xirrus
