Hi,

My Internet Explorer 11 is currently on version 11.0.9600.18817 and isn't updating to 11.0.15063.674 even though the "Install new version automatically" box is ticked. I thought IE was supposed to update after Monthly Roll-up patch KB4041681 was installed, but this doesn't seem to be the case. Am I missing something?

I have just checked mine & it is version 11.0.9600.18816, update version 11.0.47 (KB4040685).
Product ID:00150.2000.00003.AA459. I also have "Install new version Automatically".

Mine is the 64 bit version as I am running Windows 7 64 bit. My IE is working perfectly well so I will leave it alone. I suggest you do the same if it's working well & don't worry about which version it is.

Now knowing how MS work with updating which versions to what version it's very likely yours is fully up to date for your version.

Many thanks Ranger4,

I'm glad everything seems to be okay. I forgot to mention I'm also running Windows 7 64 bit.

You should update your IE 11 to 11.0.9600.18816 by installing KB4040685. This is a security update that fixes vulnerabilities in Internet Explorer 11 that addresses remote code execution.

I suggest downloading and installing KB4040685 manually using the Microsoft Catalog for your specific Windows platform (Windows 7 64-bit).

Yeah I would say update IE manually, you can skip version if you want.

Thanks Sky Ranch and ThunderThor,

I installed KB4040685 for Windows 7 64 bit yesterday but had to uninstall it as it was causing my anti-virus to malfunction (McAfee Security Center version 16.0.5).
