Hi,
I have an Dell M3800 operating on Win 7, 64 bit OS.

From 2 days back suddenly I am facing a problem with IE.

When I click on IE tab, it gives me an error stating that cannot open and closes down the program. I also have Google Chrome, which also behaves in identical way.
I upgraded IE10 to IE11 but the problem persists.

The finny thing is that if I right click on IE and choose " Open as Administrator" then it works fine.
But I cannot store my specific pages which I want IE to start in.

I also ran a full Trend Micro Security scan on my system and it came out clean. Also Trojan Remover did not find any thing.

Please help.

Hi Ranger 4,

Will same be the case with Google chrome also?

Also, earlier IE used to open without clicking on administrator. Is this a new change made by IE?

Thanks for your help.

Try this.

Right tick on I.E. icon and select Properties and then select Advanced.

You should see a box to select Run as Administrator.

Try your system with and without a check mark.

Jack

Hi Jack,

IE opens only with the Check mark in " Run as administrator". If I uncheck this option the IE does not open, but gives me an error message.
