Internet freezing problem

I use Win7 64 bit with a new Samsung Q330 notebook. I connect to my university network via ethernet. At random times, while my network LAN connection is working, my browsers will stop getting signal and I must reboot in order to get them to work again. No idea what might cause this conflict, or what diagnostics to run, if any.

Could the hardware be causing this, or is it more likely something else?

Welcome to SD, EricD. If your Internet is freezing, try turning up the heat. Okay, just kidding.

Please complete your System Specs so we can better help you.

Then find the newest network driver for your system and install it.

Also, check out your Device Manager for any yellow warnings.

Device manager is fine. I noticed that the problem starts when a photograph won't load on the screen. It's so strange.

Is there a file I could copy that shows the settings you asked about?

Click on Welcome EricD, then there is a tab that says System Specs. Please fill that out.

i know where that is, but not where all this info is on my computer. that was where i hoped to find a file with the information to copy and paste.
