Was just wondering what the range of services and prices were for our members.

I have a 15/1 package from my provider and it costs me about $50 a month. It's hard to tell exactly what it costs as it's a bundle with my TV and phone, My inet plan by itself is $59.99.

I use Cox and pay about 140 a month for a bundle:

Telephone land line with pretty basic features

Cable TV with maybe 40 channels; no HBO, Showtime, etc

High Speed Internet "Preferred" package supposedly capped at 200 GB per month, which I never hit.

The Internet Package alone would be $50 per month if unbundled.

Well, I'm with BT (UK) and have a phone/broadband bundle with Unlimited Broadband and Calls for about £35 (US$58) a month excluding line rental. It's an ADSL2+ line, and as I live less than 200m away from the exchange, I get 20Mb/s down and 1.3Mb/s up.

Well like Martin I'm with BT (UK) and I have a package and my bill is less than £35 a month, it depends if I've made any help line calls that are chargeable.

Line Rental = £13.90

Broadband Option 3 £20, I get an £8 discount for it and as well as being Unlimited Broadband I get Unlimited Anytime phone calls. I also get a Paper Free discount of £3.75.

So my bill this month is £31.54 because I made some calls that were chargeable.

Unlike Martin my line is only ADSL and I'm 1.37 km from the exchange but can only get usually 3 to 4 MB speed but as it's advertised as up to 8 MB there's nothing I can do.

I could maybe get a package with my Sky but as they don't have their own lines around here they'd have to rent the line from BT to sell to me or I'd have to keep the line rental with BT and get everything else from Sky.

The last I looked there are no plans at present, I live in a coastal rural area and we've only had broadband at all the last few years and the local exchange is totally BT so even if I went with someone else they'd have to rent the service from BT to sell it to me so at least if I'm with BT to start with it's quicker and easier to get things fixed if they go wrong.

There's no chance of fibre coming our way in the foreseeable future, blimey we can't even get natural gas piped to us.

Similar problem here.
One company.
No wireless.
No cell phone service.

$50/mo. for phone line ADSL 3 Meg as they call it. Which actual testing is avg. 2.67Mbs down and 0.67Mbs up.

$75/mo. for 5 Meg.

All they had the first two years was 56K dial up (50.6K actual)- $30.

Then add $45 for basic phone with that per month.

$95 with taxes and no long distance calls- those are extra.

Being in the country every call is long distance except my brother in law.
