Hi on tuesday I put together a new computer and of course installed all the drivers. Everything has been working great.

Yesterday I decided to install Steam to download and install Battlefront 2. 10 seconds into the download and then my internet gets cut-off. A red light popped up on the router. So I restarted the router and then everything went back to normal but the internet was still not working. All wireless connections work fine but my computer when connected by ethernet cannot connect to the router at all.

Ive plugged my ethernet cable into another computer and it works, so its not the wire or router port. Its just this new computer I built but it was working before, it just stopped working after the internet got cut-off.

I just reinstalled Windows and installed all the drivers but it still doesnt work.

I'm not sure where to go from here.

Hi. Thanks for the tutorial but I managed to fix it yesterday. I came across a post in another forum after a good few hours looking on google which a person had a similar issue to mine and a fix for it was to change a setting in the intel network controller link speed; Speed and Duplex.
