Hello
I have just today upgraded from vista to 7 on my main computer at home and im having trouble with the network. i have two desktop computers, cpu1 running win7 and cpu2 running vista. my internet connection is a cable broadband that goes in cpu1, which has two ethernet adapters. one is occupied bu the internet connection and the other is the lan with cpu2. ive had this setup for years and it worked fine in every combination (xp-vista, vista-vista) but now i cant seem to be able to make it work. i set up sharing on my internet connection and the necessary ip on both computers but it does not give internet to cpu2. im also experiencing the issue with the home network being blocked in public mode. im not really interested in safety and the like, i just want the net to work, by any means. if you can make it a step by step i would be awesomely grateful.
thanks

If you can take a screenshot of your ipconfig on your cpu2
Goto run type cmd click ok.
Type ipconfig/all and post screen shot here.
you can verify that you are able to connect to the internet on cpu1...

I just noticed the date on this thread....probably solved
