Internet Stop Working through Dial-Up

Hello there,

I'm not able to use Internet whenever I connect it through Dial-up (via my phone), while I'm able to use Internet when I connect the Internet through my Internet dongle.

I'm keep getting the error - "This webpage is not available (ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED)" in Chrome and different errors in different browsers.

Also, I think this started happening after I installed a software called "Speedify", which is use to combine multiple connections. After trying it, my computer was running too slow, so I uninstalled it just after few minutes.

And not just this, I was facing similar problem in Ubuntu too, however when I deleted the LAN connection setting of the dongle which I have recently started using, it started working.

I'm not able to understand what is causing this issue. I'm not facing problems in my phone and now not on Ubuntu either, so the problem I think must be with my computer. I also checked the Firewall too and found nothing wrong with it.

Who is the manufacturer of your dongle ? and have you flashed it or installed a different connection manager on it ?

There is always the possibility that Speedify has not reinstated the correct settings after being un-installed... Have you tried to do a system restore ? back to the time before you installed Speedify.

In either case it would be worth un-installing the connection software and drivers for the dongle restart your computer and then try to connect via your phone and dial up... as most brands of dongles do not like to have any other device trying to connect via dial up...
