Hi mcrahul,

I couldn't find any drivers for your USB speakers, but here is a driver request form at Intex's website: Driver Download

Did you assign them as the default audio device.

I didn't think they needed drivers?

I was under the impression that USB speakers always require drivers, because Windows 7 treats them as a separate sound card with outputs only? Perhaps I'm mistaken...

Hi Walker,

Took a quick look and found this:

"Plug and play functionality make these speakers an ideal and affordable audio solution. Enjoy true multimedia Sound"

To the OP, right click on the Microsoft speaker icon in the taskbar and select "Playback Devices", then right click again in the center of the window and enable "show disconnected devices and show disabled devices" perhaps the USB device will show up and you can select it as the Default Audio device. (Set Default button). Also look under the "Configure" selection and make sure it's set to stereo.

when you go into sound in control panel, does the sound meter for your speakers move when you have music playing?

Tw33k posed a good question, answer that one and also do this.

Go to the Playback Devices again, select your speakers... on the bottom left, there is a button labeled "Configure" open it and see what the setting are. It should be set to Stereo.

There's also one other oddity than can happen with USB speakers. They sometimes shut down. So, try a machine restart, also try setting the Default speakers to something other than USB, then re-selct them as the default device.

Found the Solution ur searching 4

maybe it's late , but i had the same problem .
the solution is the same like the guy above told u , but after u choose the default audio device "USB Speakers" go to Properties of the USB Speakers then "Enhancements" there make a check at "Disable All Enhancement" , then the speakers gonna work again ;),
It's because Microsoft programmed the default status of working with enhancements , but The Intex speakers don't all have the property ;) , gd luck

Hi All,
Deactivating the Enhancements really worked for the Intex NB-20 on Windows 7.

I began this search this morning, and within a few minutes the issue was resolved.

Thanks y'all.

I have the same problem with a set of Thompson nxt usb speakers. They worked perfectly 6 months ago, but now the driver properties gives the wrong frequency setting and it cannot be changed. Therefore the computer cannot even generate a test tone. I have tried restoring the computer back to as new, but the driver does not work and gives odd frequency. Tried also to install on Dell XPS Win 8.1 (64bit) with exactly the same result. The speakers install and play on a 32bit XP system, without any problem, so I think it may be related to the 64 bit systems, or the defailt drivers for 64 bit systems.
Any clues would be great as I'm having a holiday soon and would like to take my music with me.
