At the beginning of the year someone pressed their foot on the digital accelerator and never took it off. Enterprise transformation has really raced ahead through 2017 as organisations of all sizes and in all sectors have embraced technologies such as cloud computing, IoT and artificial intelligence.Microsoft is proud to be involved in some of Australia’s leading transformations, and we are also immensely proud of the partner ecosystem that is driving that forward.
For the last 20 years the Australia Partner Conference (APC) has been a highlight of our year and I’m excited by today’s announcement that this legacy will be built on through the new Microsoft Summit from 14-17 November in Sydney at the International Convention Centre (ICC).
The Microsoft Summit will deliver two key experiences for you – the Microsoft Partner Summit and the Microsoft Tech Summit. It also brings you together with customers at the opening keynote and the Microsoft Tech Summit. I think this opens up exciting opportunities for the breadth of ideas, learning and connections to be made.
The Microsoft Partner Summit (14-15 November) encompasses the opening keynote. As I mentioned, customers across business and tech roles will also attend. This is a great opportunity to network right off the bat. The following sessions over the remainder of the two days will be dedicated to the partner community with structured networking, skills building, ideas generation and the exploration of the latest solutions and innovation.
The Microsoft Tech Summit (16-17 November) is perfect for your IT professionals, developers and decision makers with a chance to meet and learn from the engineers and experts on the latest in Microsoft cloud technologies; and with technical training up to level 400.
Overall, the goal is for you to leave the Microsoft Summit with the connections, solutions and skills to engage, adapt and grow; today and tomorrow.
I invite you to read the overviews of both these events here in order to understand the broad strokes of what you will experience. We look forward to announcing speaker line-up and agenda information; and until then, I invite you to save the dates and register your interest to be notified when registration opens.
Just like with APC, this will be a highlight on the Microsoft calendar. Speaking on behalf of the team, we will look forward to spending our time with you during this week in November to create a valuable experience that works hard for you and your business long after the event concludes.
