i installed the game (Closed Beta MMORPG).

The first time i start this game, the launcher patches the game. When i start it after patching my screens stays black and the sound freezes. After some seconds my computer reboots.

After rebooting i got the message about "BSOD 0x116".
When i try to start it again sometimes i got the same error again and again. Sometimes i cannot start the game after this, cuz my *.ini-files in the game folder are blank.

I already asked in the forums of the game and the support of the company.

Someone in the forums told me to do a scan and post it here.
Maybe you can help me.
Its the only game, where this happens.

Windows 7 Ultimate x64
Intel Core i7 920
Msi Nvidia GTX 580 TwinFrozr (driver at 314.22 / 320.00 beta)

thanks

A stop 0x116 is a display/graphics related BSOD. It may be caused by a number of things.

You are slightly overclocked.
Code:
CPUID: "Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU 920 @ 2.67GHz"
MaxSpeed: 2670
CurrentSpeed: 2698
As you are getting BSODs, you should stop overclocking and run all the hardware components like CPU, GPU and RAM to their default settings. Also set the BIOS to default, too.
How To Clear CMOS (Reset BIOS)

Stress test the Graphics Card using Furmark.
Video Card - Stress Test with Furmark

Check if the Power Supply Unit (PSU) supplying adequate power to the computer or not.
eXtreme Power Supply Calculator

Is the computer hot? Report us the heat of the computer after a couple of hours of your normal usage. Upload a screenshot of the summery tab of Speccy.

Dismantle the PC. Clean the inside carefully. Specially the fan grills and air vents. When Re-seating, dont forget to apply thermal paste.

The BIOS is kinda old.
Code:
BiosVersion = F13j
BiosReleaseDate = [COLOR=Red]08/02/2010[/COLOR]
If possible, update it from GIGABYTE - Motherboard - Socket 1366 - GA-EX58-UD5 (rev. 1.0). Take the version F13, dated 2012/01/11

Let us know the results.

thanks for you answer.

my temperature is fine, cleaning of fans and air vents too
cpu around 40-50 °C
gpu around 50-60 °C

i tried Furmark and EXACTLY got the same problem... if i start the test, my screen freezes in a blackscreen and my computer reboots... 0x116

But if i play for example the newest Tomb Raider on extrem high settings (everything on highest), i can play without any problems for hours...

how can i see if MY PSU supplies adequate power with a webbased calculator? i dont get it.

i checked my bios and found nothing about my CPU was overclocked, everything was on standard or automatic... The only thing i found was a ram-profile which was on turbo and is now on "standard"

i will try the bios update later.

i solved it, thank you. it was a directx9 problem, as i thought first...

i tried to install directx 9 again and again, with different web installer...full installer, and everything i found on web... but nothing changed...

But after Furmark also crashed and tomb raider worked well... i reinforced my search and found another redist-package ( Download DirectX Redist (June 2010) from Official Microsoft Download Center )

This fixed my problem.
