Solved Invisible Shutdown Text and Missing Icons in Taskbar when Booting Up

Hello, I'm just new here, I'm just asking for some help for my problem. You see, when I installed a Custom Icon Pack (with installer), after rebooting, my Shutdown Button just became bugged with the text written on the button dissappeared. Plus, my Taskbar icons suddenly dissappeared even though it is shown in the options that it has the "Show Icon and Notifications" option enabled. Please help me with my problem. It's really a hassle to uninstall the icon pack everytime just to get those thing back. Thanks for your help.

Since the problem occurs when you install the icon pack, and uninstalling it fixes the problem, why do you keep reinstalling it?

No, I mean, when I uninstalled the icon pack, the problem will occur, so I need to keep the uninstaller to temporarily get rid of the problem.

By the way, in the pictures... I just booted my pc from a recent uninstalled of the pack.

Have you tried to do a system recovery. To do that open Control Panel & select Recovery & see if you have Recovery point that is before you installed the Custom Icon Pack.

Well, that's another problem. I didn't made a System Restore Point before installing the icon pack. Any more clues on What is this Problem or How to fix this problem?

EDIT: I forgot to say in the first post that the problem started when I installed the Icon Pack. Then when I uninstalled it (because of the problem), the problem still persists.

Try this after your little goodie program is removed.

Right tick on Start Orb and select Properties.
Then select Start Menu/Customize
At the bottom of the page tick on default, OK out.
Reboot.

I do recommend keeping Restore Points. I know of no reason not to have Restore Points.

Layback Bear, the solution you gave didn't work. I tried it and reboot, but the problem still persists. Thanks for your help. Does anyone had/have this problem? Please help.

PS: The reason I don't have a System Backup, because I forgot to do it.

The only other thing I can think of is remove all traces of those programs, make my computer look pretty and do a repair install.

You could try the solutions on this website. Also check to see if there is an uninstaller within the Custom Icon folder.

Thanks Ranger4. I saw an uninstaller in the Setup folder. Which is basically the uninstaller which is used when i uninstall the Pack. Ill try the methods in the Link you gave.

There is an uninstaller in the Custom Icon Folder (C:/Iconpack). But that's simply the uninstaller I run everytime. I tried the solutions in the link you gave. What happened was, I can't use the option 1 because I don't have a system backup. The option 2 is just a Temporary Solution because when I use it, then reboot, the problem is still there. In option 3, I also can't use that because I don't know what files will the Icon Pack replaces. Nothing happened in method 4. I can't use option 5 because I don't have a disc or a copy in a USB Drive. Right now, I'm experimenting on how to do this. Thanks for the help Ranger4

Read through this Windows 7 Forum tutorial on how to download & set up a Windows 7 installation DVD or USB drive.

Just make sure you download the correct version, which according to your System Specs is Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit.

Do you have an activation code?. Check your laptop underneath & inside the battery compartment for it. You may not need it but if you have to do an extensive repair or re-installation you will need it.
