I am glad to say that I called Apple and the problem was fixed. I should have thought of this... BUT this is how it is done. :)

1. Uninstall in the order as listed:
Apple Mobile Device Support
Apple Software Update
QuickTime
iTunes
2. Restart
3. Download and install iTunes
4. Restart
5. Magic. :D

And that was it! I should have considered the other software Apple puts on the computer, but I figured it all uninstalled along with iTunes. Oh well. It works like before now. Other than iTunes failing naturally and iPods having problems. Thank you for everyones help. May this post help others in need. :D

I tried all of the uninstall with no results. What did work was going into my bios and turning on "c" state under cpu config. After doing that no problems at all .

I don't know if this is quite the spot for this, but my iPod stopped working on the computer after.. something. I don't remember what I did. But it won't show up as "iPod" in my computer or in iTunes. I uninstalled the driver, installed iTunes, and plugged it back it, but it doesn't work right. It shows up as a camera? And the space it shows is just the free space. I blame Windows 7! :) Any help?

Thank you.

~Nicane
No, its not windows 7, its Itunes, the driver did not extract properly so Device manager only recognizes it as a camera.

Doesn't work. =/ Any other ideas?
nicane I need you to do the following:
  1. Remove all itunes/ipod/quicktime/bonjour/appleupdate software. Anything Apple un-install it and get rid of it.
  2. Reboot your system and follow this link:
  3. Apple - iTunes - Download iTunes Now
  4. Download the top Itunes package for windows 7 X64
  5. Find where you put the Itunes.exe and put your mouse over it.
  6. You will see a dropdown menu if you right click over the program.
  7. Choose the run as ADMINISTARTOR and double click
  8. The itunes will begin to extract and install all programs including quicktime.
  9. Reboot your system, connect your device, you should here 2 distinct sounds, these are the usb driver, then next sound is your apple mobile device driver.
  10. Open itunes.
That should do it.
