IRQ problem causing Blue screen crash

I am very new to the custom built pc world and am having a problem with constant crashes.

1) on startup i get two programs that keep trying to run first one is fwupdate.exe and the second is CLIStart.exe. I cannot figure out what and why they keep poping up. whether or not i click "yes make changes to pc" or "no" they always are there on start up.

2)also on start up I get "the catalyst control center is not supported by yhe driver version of your enabled graphics adapter. Please update your ATI graphics driver, or enable your ATI adapter using the displays manager" I am using a Geforce 210 512mb card. Not the onboard ATI card on my MSI 785gm-E51 mother board. I think this is what is causing the crashes, but not sure.

The crashes always happen on MKV format movies within minutes of starting them. They also happen when doing a sys backup. Under the device manager the only device it shows for graphics is the geforce 210.

on the bsod it says "IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL"

You need to put it in a zipped folder, have a look at the tutorial Jonathan_King linked for you.

linksys does not seem to have a newer driver than the one installed. Evidently I have to get new wifi card that support windows 7?

After deleting both drivers and verifying they are no longer there with verifier tried mkv video and sys still locks. no bsod this time but still locks. Where should I go from here?

Tom, I recommend a new Wi-Fi card that supports Win 7. It may not cure your problem, but it will prevent other problems and may help this one.

Did the recent lockup trigger a new dmp?

There was no new dmp file. I am completely puzzled. The sys always lock on 7g or up videos that are mkv format. I am using vlc player and it does it and tried media player with a codec pack that supports mkv's.
