Hello guys,

This is my first thread ever, so please be gentle with me hehehe.
I am having a BSOD on my Windows 7 X64 ultimate.
So far, i have checked all over the place for a solution, but none worked.

It might sound silly, but initially, i think i clicked on a virus or something like that (.exe file), heared lots of noise comming from my HD as it was working, and after 5 seconds, i got the BSOD.
Now i have 2 partitions, and on the other one i have winxp, and that one boots just fine, so no hardware issues (and i did not install anything). But went throught the hardware part tho, just to make sure there is no issues.

When i try repair, still does not work, last known good configuration, nothing, and when i tried safe mode, sometimes, it just does straight to the BSOD, or lets me in for 5rr minutes, and then freezes with the IRQ thing. I can add also that sometimes the BSOD says something like reference_by_pointer.

I tried to repair the registry , and scan for viruses > same issue
so i think that it is that virus, or whatever it is has caused some problems somewhere...

I kindly need your help guys.

The only sensible thing to do is wipe the drives thoroughly, reformat, and reinstall.

You can go crazy trying to find exactly what problems one of these evil §%$&%$§§'s has caused, and you will never be certain unless you go with a clean machine.

You can try some of the disaster recovery software with built in virus killers or "UBCD" and things like that,

Shardana Antivirus Rescue Disk Utility Free (SARDU) | Free Software

This is pretty good;

Avira AntiVir Rescue System - Download

If you Google "Disaster Recovery antivirus" you will find loads of them.
Some of them work well enough, but I would never trust an infected machine unless I had wiped it.

A quick question, wouldnt it be possible if i get the BSOD Dump & System File Collection app if i boot up from my winXP partition and get them ?

The BSOD Tool will only collect required info from the OS it is being run on

Hi guys,

As you requested, i have attached the .ZIP file here, and i need to add when running the perfmon /report, i got an error message: perfmon an error occurred while attempting to generate the report, the system cannot find the path specified

Please remove any CD virtualization programs such as Daemon Tools and Alcohol 120%. They use a driver, found in your dmp, sptd.sys, that is notorious for causing BSODs. Use this SPTD uninstaller when you're done: DuplexSecure - Downloads
You can use MagicDisc as an alternative.

Enable Driver Verifier siif BSODs still occur
Driver Verifier - Enable and Disable
Then upload the newly created dumps

Solved at least for me

A couple weeks ago this happened to me. Deleting the file hidden file c:\hiberfil.sys will immediately resolve the issue. The only draw back is you need to boot a different os to delete it. But since you already have a dual boot then that's all you have to do.
