Everytime I try to turn on my computer, I need to go through several boot attempts and use the F8 key to recovery boot. I only get quick glimpses of the BSODs because my laptop reboots itself almost immediately after the BSOD takes affect. This is very annoying as I have only just got this laptop as a replacement for my last laptop which had a corrupted hard-drive. The first thing this laptop did when I turned it on the first time was BSOD'd, but I don't think it created a dump file because I hadn't even set up a user account yet...
It's been happening for a couple of days and I've been seeking out the answer since then, I can't even hibernate. Windows Updates are rolling in slowly and not all at once, which is annoying because I need to keep rebooting for updates, which leads back to the BSODs.
I included the all the dump files in the folder.
Also, I ran an SFC scan but I can't open the CBS file, it says I don't have permissions, even though I'm the admin on the computer.
Thanks in advance for the help. :)

Hi and welcome

These crashes were caused by several different problems. Since there are multiple problems (including USBPORT, fltmgr.sy, etc) I have to start thinking hardware.

I would start by downloading memtestx86 and run t for 5 passes.

regarding your SFC (cbs.log) if you drag it to the desktop you should be able to zip it for uploading.

\Let us know if you need help

Hi Ken, thanks for the help, I'm not 100% how memtest works, to I download an ISO image for creating a bootable CD?
Memtest86 - Download Page I'm downloading from here.

My bad, sorry. Yep DL and burn to bootable CD, and wait. Five passes (minimum) will take hours.

Let us know the results. We are always lurking.

Hi, sorry to sound like such an idiot, but do I just drag the .iso file to the D:\ window with the blank disc in and burn it like a regular disc?

ED

Dont worry about it. We all started with absolutely no knowledge and only learn by doing it.

I dont htink you can just drag and drop it (needs to be able to boot). You can use a 3rd party app like ImgBurn to make it boot.

Dont hesitate to ask

So, I'm back already. :S
The CD booted fine, but once it got part way into the test bar going up it rebooted and started right from the beginning, is that meant to happen?

First you need to go into system control panel aqnd turn off the auto restart (see pics). Then try it again. It wont reboot but more likely will stop and give you error codes. If it does and you can copy them let us know what they are.

Generally if there are errors in memtestx86, it means there is some problem with the memory.

If you are overclocking STOP

Let us know if we can help

Ok, sorry I took so long, had class and stuff. Turns out i have 4GB or RAM so I had to use the earlier version, which was conveniently installed onto the same ISO. :P
Anyway ran it, and no errors, 4 passes. (I stopped here because I REALLY needed the computer for HW)

So, I went to turn the laptop on this morning and I get the usual BSODs, so I tried to run the mode that shows the you the last file loaded before a crash, but it started up then. :S

This is getting really annoying now. D:< I can still use my laptop, but it can sometimes take me over a half hour just to get it booted properly. Once it's up an running, it's run perfectly and never crashes or anything. :(
