Is aero required?

Hi guys, I was wondering if the usage of Aero was required to change the taskbar colors (i dont see why it would be)

Im getting tired of the light blue color, but because i cant use aero, my computer isnt letting me change the color. I dont care about transparency, or previews, etc. just wanna change the color.

Yes,aero is required if you want to change your taskbar colour..Just hope there will be a third party software in the near future that is able to change the taskbar colour for those users who don't have aero in their pc.Unfortunately,there's none available at the moment.

P.S - Get a new graphics card that supports aero.
