F.B. Purity - Clean up and Customize Facebook

seems to work ok. facebook wont let me post the URL in a post. which is odd. says it's "unsafe".

this hides the annoying "trending" news section which is great in my book.

I was using social fixer which don't seem to work well anymore.

It looks okay to me. I scanned that site and downloads with several scanners and none of them reported any problem.

Facebook will not want you to use an add on that modifies scripts/ elements on the web page

It appears that the author provide a GreaseMonkey script that achieves the same thing.

The big question is "can the add on read your login data or posts and if so does it send the data anywhere? "

I can't test that as I don't use Facebook. I would point out that the add on does not meet Mozilla's signing requirements. I saw your post on the add on page. Which version of Firefox do you use? Soon you will not be able to install unsigned add ons in Firefox. Currently it is possible to disable add on signing checks.

43.0.3 of firefox is what i'm using. I keep it updated. I cant stand the facebook ads and this does a good job of hiding them. seems like it's safe but I guess you never know.
