Firefox suffers hangs on many sites, periscope being only one of the issues. Using NoScript doesn't help.

FF seem to be aware of the issue, they haven't fixed it yet, sadly.

That is why I suggested Brave or Opera.

Still having some little problems though… like my screen brightness adjustment doesn't seem to work properly (using the little slider in “Power Plans” – it leaps around, and won’t go down much below maybe 80%.

Anybody know if that’s controlled by the graphics driver, or something else? Getting the graphics driver to work on this machine under W7 was possibly the most difficult tasks of all – AMD said pretty much their chipset wasn’t supported by W7 any more, but there was a kind of beta version which I could use at my own risk… then it came up with a message saying there was as better version available… I tried so many variants I lost track of where I was to be honest.

Thanks Roy, but I'm really reluctant to mess about with it at this stage... think I'll give it a few weeks to stabilise, image it, then maybe try :confused:
