I also ran SP71386.exe, which I found using your hardware ID method. Nothing appeared to happen when I ran it - weird - but I guess maybe that was it... sigh... just the touchpad and Bluetooth to fix now. The HP touchpad driver, SP65086.exe, appears to be corrupt on their ftp site - about half of it downloads, says it's finished, but reports corruption when you try to install it. If anybody knows where I can get these last two drivers, I'll be a happy man...


I should say I'm in the process of a very challenging house renovation at the moment, having moved back to Ireland from England after 35 years, so I'm... errmmm... a little stressed
