Is it advisable to use x64 apps on an old x64 cpu?

I'm going to clean install Firefox 55 but I'm still deciding between the 64 or the 32 bit versions. I'm using a very old cpu that I bought in mid 2010 (Intel Core i5 750 Lynnfield) with Windows 7 x64 and 8 GB of DDR3.

I'm not sure if the recent 64 bit browsers nowadays are more optimized for recent 64 bit CPUs or I should stick with the 32 bit version?

I would use x64 then if you run into any issues get the 32, they use the same user folder regardless so you should not lose anything.
