Im sitting on my hands here waiting for the 400 series cards from nvidia.

Am i being a fool thinking like this as nvidia will not let us down and they will be around on sale soon (if you can catch the stock before there all sold) or will i be let down and they will be weeks/months away still?

The delays for the 400 series from NVIDIA are due to poor manufacturing yields (single digit percents) from fab. They're working on it. If they have to do a redesign because of this (and I personally hope they do to get better reliability), we'll see it delayed even more.

I'm sitting with my GTX 295 Co-Op card and seriously thinking about a 5970 from ATI. But I'm holding off to see how NVIDIA's 400 series handles DX9 before I commit to any upgrades. Every reviewer is doing DX11 performance which I don't care about when all the games I play right now are DX9 or DX10.
