My wife & I like to watch Barclay's Premiere Football, however some matches are via NBC Live Extra, which is an APP, allowing us to watch it only on her Samsung Tablet. Is it possible to watch it, either on my [computer] monitor or regular TV? I don't have any 6yo kids living in the neighborhood to set it up for me, if at all possible.

Thanks in advance, and any other suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Al

Al,
While I have not tested it with the particular app you speak of you could try an android emulator such as Bluestacks - BlueStacks - 90 Million Android Users and Counting

With the emulator you can download and install most android apps on a PC...

Also I am assuming you are running windows 7 since you're on these forums but if you upgraded to windows 8 or 10 (currently free) then it looks to me like the "NBC Sports Live Extra" app is available on the windows App store. While I wouldn't necessarily suggest upgrading just for one app, it is an option to consider... Also if you know anyone with windows 8/10 you may want to test the app on their setup first to ensure it offers the same features you are looking for.

With that being said I did a google search and there does appear to be several ways to install apps from the app store on windows 7 machines... I hesitate to suggest any since I have not tested any of the third party apps and I do think there are some which may be considered malware so if you choose to go that route be sure to research the app of choice well...

Another option to consider depending on the Samsung Tablet you own is there are a variety of options to output video/audio from your tablet to a TV/Computer monitor... Chromecast or something similar, HDMI, or again depending on the tablet and whether you have a compatible TV... Samsung's have a built in screen mirroring/casting feature.

Lastly have you tried visiting Live and Upcoming | NBC Sports in your web browser? It appears you can watch content through the website, I don't know specifically about Barclay's...

Hope some of this helps, if I can assist with any more specific questions let me know!

Hi Cajan,

Slightly of track
Greetings from a Saints (Southampton) fan.
Over here our national TV provider BBC has its own web site, BBC.CO.UK, with an App called the Iplayer, and obviously shows highlights of matches on Sat/sun at approx 10.30pm british time, if you about at these times ONLY.

You could give it a try not sure if it will work across the pond because of "copyright restrictions"

Roy

How about attaching your TV directly to your tablet. Does your tablet have an appropriate output port.

Thanks to one and all.... great suggestions and I'll give them a try this week. I particularly like on3's suggestion of Chromecast. I do have a Smart TV and I'll give Samsung a ring and ask them how to set it up. btw: we did watch the Norwich - Arsenal match on the wife's tablet and it was beautiful HD telecast, and whs's suggestion of cabling between the tablet & 55" might be the simplest method....

Thanks again guys/gals for the quick suggestions.
