I am not looking to deactivate the filtering that InPrivate browsing allows you to do. I want to completely deactivate the option of HAVING InPrivate browsing. Why would I want to do such a thing? I want to be able to see a history of EVERYTHING that happens on my computer, including every website visited. If another user of my computer utilizes the InPrivate Browsing option, I cannot see the history of which websites are visiting during that time. For this reason, I am hoping to find out how to completely delete the InPrivate Browsing option from my computer. I would simply get rid of Internet Explorer (I personally prefer another web-browser), but I don't think THAT is possible. and even if i were to do that, it is entirely too easy to re-download and setup.
My issue is that since there is only 1 user setup on this computer, I cannot even activate "parental controls". ANY recommendations??? PLEASE! Any help is greatly appreciated!

I DO use Firefox. but uninstalling internet explorer does not mean that another user in my home will not re-install it.

i would really look at a multi-user setup as i believe you are a admin correct?
anything you can do, what ever party you want to block this option can reenable it if they want...
even with a two user setup (one admin and one standard) you can substantially make it harder to look for these workarounds...

also you should look at the option of being able to use parental controls so that you filter whatever you want to filter (you can also have multi-block setup where you have your DNS service (such as OpenDNS) block anything on that end and anything not blocked can be blocked by your parental controls...;) this is possible if you use a multi-user setup

also you can disable IE by unchecking IE from the features window in the Programs And Features window which is in the control panel....

that means that they cannot reinstall IE since its already integrated in Windows 7...
also if they try they will get a UAC message which if you have a password they cannot guess, they cannot install anything...;)

also with firefox any user can enable "Clear Private Data" which makes it a nightmare for people to be searching their history for a certain link they were looking at...

which is were a multiuser setup still comes in, even if they have the option of clearing the data they cannot touch your data....;)
(also even if you have hidden the clear private data menu they can still delete the history if they are really carefull..;))
