Hi guys. As the title says, i want to do a clean install of windows 7 ultimate. But i'm planning on installing it on my D drive instead of my C drive

The reason is my C drive only has 39GB size and my D drive has 102GB size.

Need advice. Thanks:)

Well, the tutorial couldn't be any plainer, so yes, you can.

With such a small (by today's standards) hard drive I'd be inclined to just have one partition rather than your current C and D drive.

As Karl points out it is most important you backup any important data to an external drive before you do anything else.

What is on C? Is this another OS?

If so you can move the data off D, delete it to extend C in Disk Mgmt then copy the data back in:
Partition or Volume - Extend
Partition or Volume - Delete

Or you can use Partition Wizard bootable CD to Resize D to the right, so you can then Resize C to the right to make more space.

The solution is NOT to install another OS on the larger partition unless you have a specfic reason you need a Dual Boot.
