Solved Is it possible to open a internet file that was saved from mac onto pc

yesterday when I was at school I used a mac to browse on the web for a film project. I saved some links by dragging the file onto the desktop. on PC it appears as a webloc file, so I cant open it. Any help?

Apparently mac's web shortcuts are similar to windows .url shortcuts. You could try opening such file with notepad (open notepad, drag and drop the webloc file onto it), the link should be in there as text, somewhere.

Pardon me if I'm wrong.
