Is it possible to script frequent changes to monitor/sound settings?

I've got a desktop running Win 7 Professional.

On my actual desk I have two monitors, one that I use as my main one, and a second that I bring up when I could really use the extra display. I also have a set of basic speakers.

However I also hook this tower up to an HDTV, and use that as a the audio/video out regularly.

I'd like to set up some basic scripts for switching between these devices, without having to go through the settings myself.

Is this do-able, either natively in Windows or through some third-party program?

I would like to know this, as well, specifically changing what output the sound goes to.

I currently have JBL Pebble speakers connected through USB, and also an HDMI cable from my video card to the TV, and an optical cable from the motherboard to my receiver.

Most of the time I just use the Pebble speakers for sound. But every now and then I want BIGGER sound in the living room and would like to send the sound to the surround sound amplifier. Also on some occasions I use the TV for viewing online content when my TV or Blu-Ray smart apps just won't get the job done.

I have a Harmony 650 remote that I use for the amp and TV to get them on the correct inputs for whether I just want sound from the PC, or both sound and video. But I then have to go into "Playback Devices" and change what output is the "default" to get the sound out of either the Pebble speakers, or my amp and surround sound speakers.

Is there not an easier way to accomplish this besides having to change the "default" setting every time?
