Is it possible to upgrade Mobile Intel(R) 45 Express Chipset Family?

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but you cant upgrade a laptop's gpu buddy!

Unlike desktops, laptops do not have replaceable boards. Everything is built into the motherboard. Pretty much the only things that can be upgraded are RAM, hard drive, and CPU (not always). Only a few high end "gaming" laptops have upgradeable video.

There is a way but it's expensive you need a ViDock 4 and a graphics card but if I were you don't try it.

Not a lot can be done with embedded gpu's. You may be able to go into the BIOS and allocate more gpu memory. Check the Intel website for chip set driver upgrades and use the lastest gpu driver avaliable. Adding system memory can help the gpu with some systems. On my old Dell adding 2gb (4gb total) mem raised the gpu wei from 3.8 to 4.2.

Thank you for the information, so i get that its not possible to upgrade it but i like gaming, and my fps is kinda low, any way i can make it go up besides upgrading graphics card?

There's no other way with your laptop. Even upgrading your RAM won't help because that Onboard Graphics that you have in your laptop (which is Intel GMA X4500 in short) won't be able to give you PLAYABLE framerates but will only RUN the game.

But you could play your favorite games when you build yourself a Desktop PC

A laptop is not a gaming machine and there is nothing you can do that will make it so. The design priorities of laptops (small size and low power consumption) are not compatible with the requirements of modern gaming (high performance video). The Intel graphics chipset was designed for business applications, not gaming.

You can play games on a laptop but you must accept their limitations.

Certain laptops are for gaming though, so if you are looking for something thats easy to move around you can get one custom built or buy an already built one from pc world or similar store.

Yes but in the end, even the laptops that are made for gaming become more obsolete a lot quicker then a desktop.

And once your laptop cant be upgraded. Its over.

There are so called "gaming" laptops but to me that is a contradiction in terms. They are an expensive compromise that doesn't match the capabilities of a good desktop.

I agree but spending around £1200 will get you a laptop that will last you around 3 years running everygame at playable settings. I know that a £1200 laptop will amount to a good bit cheaper on a PC with similar specs, but it isnt pliable to everyone to have a PC

I agree with most of the others here; unlike a desktop; there is no realistic way to upgrade components on a laptop; so Im gonna go with the majority here and say its not really possible unless you were able to get a new board with all of the components you want/need already installed on the board.
