Is it possible to use my antivirus after formatting the computer

I'm thinking of formatting my computer and re-installing the Windows 7 again, I'm wondering if any one knows a way that i can use my antivirus again, i still have 6 months before it expires...
when i bought the software , it was licensed for 3 PCs, I got one and other two friends got the two remining licenses ..

What Antivirus and what version of it are you planning to run on Win 7 ??

You should have a activation key that your AV gave you when you purchased the subscription or bought the software. Contact the AV company & explain what you plan to do & that you have 6 months remaining. They will tell you if there is anything special you have to do to re-activate it on the new install. Some AV companies have this procedure listed in the FAQ's on their website.
