Im backkk :)

Right im still using the 7000 build and have seen different builds pop up all over the place. So my question is should i clean-install from the 7000 build to this new RC im seeing everywhere?

And also whats the easiest way of replacing my files on this new OS?

From 7000, yes definitely, as it was pretty buggy imo. But from 68 or 77, probably not.

I used the Windows Easy Transfer to an 80 gb external HD for my settings & files on Beta 7000. Then did a new intall of RC 7100 x64 on the current C; drive. It saved the Beta 7000 to Windows.old on the C; drive. Loaded in the Easy Transfer files & settings. But had to re-intall a few programs. But most everything was still intact. It seems like the new x64 7100 is faster to me. Remember this is all still Trial & Error Testing :geek:

At what speed did you burn the ISO, maybe burn it again to be sure it's a good burn.

Happened again after re installing, but i kept checking after every program i installed or ran and it turned out it was caused by Wise registry cleaner 4.

I ran it and fixed the supposed errors and the problem returned, i restored the backup and everything works perfectly again.

I'd get rid of those stupid registry cleaners if I was you, they cause more problems for people than anything else IMO.

Yup, Ive not found a reg cleaner that doesnt mess up windows 7 yet. They must have made some hefty changes to either the OS or registry itself.

I found that even in vista, a registry cleaner would soon cause unexpected issues that are not recoverable. 1 day they'll get it right, and have software that checks directories vs registry entries and remove only what's no longer neeed (and not what it deems incorrect :p
