is this integrated to sp1? i cant apply it to my computer. issue only happens once every 10 boots or so. i know its this issue cause my ssd main hdd works but the other hdd doesnt show up. need to slepe and wake again

Here's the thing, the error can be caused by many different reasons. It can range from the Windows Module Installer having problems (but then again you should be receiving erros on this too) to viruses, or the update itself is really not applicable to your system.

You know what, I want to look closely at the Windows Update logs. Can you follow A Guy's instructions (http://www.sevenforums.com/1432515-post9.html) and do post your CBS file?

We could also help you with your HDD problem. What is the exact error code you get when you boot the hard disk and it errors? Are you saying when you wake up from sleep/hibernate, your other HDD does not appear but your SSD does?

no error code. machine has been running for 2 years powering on/off but when i sleep the seagate 1.5tb drive sometimes does not show up in my computer. and with my profile on that harddrive computer shits itself.

KB article seems bang on for my issue (other people with similar seagate hdd's have used that to solve it).
