Guys I have a 2TB toshiba hard drive with my games and files stored on it. Today I tried to open csgo and it spins up, makes a clicking noise, spins up, clicks.. etc

I can still access the data on it as of now.

Hi
My advice to you is..... Back up everything you want to save from your hard drive as soon as possible, preferably yesterday.
If the hard disk is currently on / spinning, do not turn it off until you have copied the most important thing. 90% of hard drives usually break at the start moment. All electronics usually break when you start it, it's when the current runs through the circuits when poweron (power spikes)
If the hard disk is currently turned off, do not start it until you are ready to copy what is important from the drive.

Then once you have backed up all the important data, now you can run some test programs to see the health / status of the hard drive.

as many in here will say .. always have a backup

EDIT:
Here is a good tool to diagnose your HDD and other stuff.
Download | Hiren's BootCD PE
The older versions with other programs
Old Versions | Hiren's BootCD PE

The sound seems to be from the reading arm. I would backup everything ASAP.

Adding to others' posts, if you can make DVD boots and USB boot sticks on another computer (make sure those boot devices actually boot), using Macrium Reflect, EaseUS ToDo, AOMEI Backupper, or any backup/restore program you like, you can make an Intelligent Copy of your data partition first, then if possible, your OS partitions last. All of that onto reliable affordable external media, I use external usb platter-driven HDDs myself, but hey, that's my choice. :)

I think i fixed the problem I think it was a bad power supply connection. I swapped it to another SATA power cable and it works fine now no noises.

- CrystalDiskInfo to check SMART status. Don't need to install
- SeaTools
- WD diag

Megahertz07, along with your very good suggestions, I add: free version of HardDisk Sentinel. I have the paid versions on both laptops - and they sure tell quickly when anything begins to "bubble up from the primordial soups".

Yes, it seems healthy.
Borrowing from Day After Tomorrow movie: "...that's good news..." If OP tells us routine full image backups are being made onto external media, that's even more good news.
