Is my PC overstocked?

I always get this fear that I'll put too much into my PC, or a program that'll make it run slower than it should.

500gb HD. 30gb of Music, No Pictures or Videos

Yes. Complete and utter mess, that. You may just want to completely reinstall cause from all I can see, it is a hopeless waste. lol joking.

I may not be sure what you are asking, but from what I can gather, you want us to pick and choose programs from the list that we wouldn't recommend? I think any program has a potential to slow down the computer, even minutely, so the less you have, the faster you have (in theory)

I would get rid of everything except adobe, java, visual C++ material and any drivers, keep any microsoft products (Office), and malwarebytes. Don't know if you need that RAID program. Definitely be rid of Revo uninstaller (at the very least, get another program). But I think you want iTunes, and some of those others for your own reasons. A good thing to live by: if you don't use a program once a week, chances are you don't need it installed

nah thats not very many programs, I wouldnt worry about them. I have 123 programs installed on my 120gb ssd and theres still space left.

As swarfega said, that's not that much. And unless these programs are trying to run at startup, they shouldn't slow you down anyway. A Guy

Echa860- As A Guy indicated if the programs aren't running they aren't using any system resources and can't slow your computer down. What period of time do you have set for 'new programs' in Revo?

You're fine, don't worry about having too much. Just keep tabs on what you use and don't. Remove a program that you haven't used for about thirty days.

Also, you shouldn't be afraid to use space with 500GB of space, I have the same amount and I take more space than you. I notice no difference in performance.

Don't forget to defrag and scan for malware.
