Funny question I know - my nephew has a BSOD on a fairly new Asus laptop and I found many entries on the net referencing the first hexadecimal number - 0x0000007E
But very little concerning the parameters within the parenthesis. There was a reference to his BIOS and oddly when I was in the BIOS it froze. It would get to the post - even come to the animated Win7 screen and then flash out and reboot.
Some info I found leads me to a possible RAM issue - but also referencing the BIOS my initial thoughts were with the BIOS chip or driver (but would I be able to get into the BIOS?)
So, back to my question - is there any comprehensive resource that provides further insight to the seemingly random sets of numbers that follow? I am familiar with BSODs but not so familiar with the components of the errors.
unfortunately I do not have any further info to share because it was a fly-by diagnostic
thanks!
