Is there a central place on Windows 7 to check if drivers are updated?

Prior to installing SP1 I was wondering if there is a central application on Windows 7 that checks if all the drivers on my PC are fully updated, just like Windows update.

Anyone knows?

No, but Windows Update will notify you when new hardware drivers are available
You should should not update drivers unless the current versions cause problems

Don't use driver scanners, they usually tend to cause problematic situations resulting in badly installed drivers and BSODs

I would agree with Yowan in #2 post above. Driver scanners cause more problems than they cure IMHO, of course. Don't touch your drivers unless you have a problem. The old adage "If it ain't broke don't fix it" is a million times better than "Keep fixing it till it's broke"

This usualy comes in your system after such drivers update scan.

Just delete all this!!!!

You have posed an excellent query!

1) yowan was right when he said not to depend unduly on 3rd party driver scanners!

2) What if, your motherboard manufacturer provides you with a facility to check whether you have some drivers which need updating? That has to be more accurate than any other tool!

3) INTEL has one such tool. It's really cool! Check out this link : Intel® Driver Update Utility
4) I will post the result of intel's search for updating drivers in my desktop as a snapshot below:

PS: The snap was before i updated the chipset driver family. The other one , the graphics driver is being dissected and opinions given in the Graphics card forum" your opinions please". Kindlychip in with your point of view there!

The nearest is the "Device Manager", if you mean a native application within Win.7!
